Construction Updates

City agencies have approved permits for construction to begin at 272 Wyckoff Street (B3).

Construction is scheduled to begin mid-June.

NYCHA’s Comprehensive Modernization team is actively working with the city agencies to help move the remaining approvals forward.

The Design Build team receives updates through the city’s permitting system and monitors the filings regularly to respond quickly to any agency questions or comments.

Current Activity

-
Distribution of RANV notices to residents at 272 Wyckoff Street (B3) began on May 15, 2026 in preparation for upcoming relocations.
-
Relocations to hospitality began on June 15, 2026 and will occur two floors at a time for lines J, K, A.
-
First set of move-backs will begin on July 15, 2026 for residents relocated on June 15, 2026.
-
With relocations scheduled and hospitality units are assigned, relocation coordinators continue to support residents throughout their move-out process with ongoing communication and addressing questions.

WHAT RESIDENTS CAN EXPECT
SERVICE IMPACTS

Water outages by apartment lines are expected once construction begins. Residents will receive at least 72 hours’ notice in advance. Outages will be minimized and scheduled during regular work hours whenever possible.

Initial shutdowns will begin only after permits are issued. Water shutdowns are anticipated approximately every four business days along apartment lines J, K, and A.
OPERATIONS
AND
DAILY CONDITIONS

Once construction begins, one elevator will be designated for construction use between 8:00AM and 4:30PM.

Elevator protection will be installed each morning and removed at the end of the workday.

Elevators will be cleaned daily and returned to resident use.
-
Increased construction staff will be visible throughout the development in the coming weeks.
